Rasomoy Memorial High School is an esteemed educational institution located in the heart of Sylhet district city, a symbol of heritage and learning. Established in 1930 in the bustling area of the city, during the Indian independence movement, the then Director of Public Education, Cunningham, issued a notice that parents had to assure the government that their children would not participate in the anti-British movement if they wanted them to attend government schools. The school was later relocated to a place owned by lawyer Pyarimohan Das. After Pyarimohan Das' death, the property was acquired by Brajendra Narayan Chowdhury, a prominent landlord of Jagannathpur Upazila, who named it after his father, Rasomoy Chowdhury, and established it as "Rasomoy Memorial High School
