Founded in 1828, Rajshahi Collegiate School stands as a cornerstone of education in Bangladesh, boasting a rich history that spans over centuries. Situated in the heart of Rajshahi, this public school for boys holds the distinction of being the oldest educational institution in the nation. Initially established as a provincial institution, it evolved over time, gaining recognition as a Government Zilla School in 1836. In 1873, it elevated to an Intermediate College, introducing F.A. courses. Notably, it achieved "first-grade rank" in 1878, enabling it to offer B.A. courses, later leading to the establishment of Rajshahi College. Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an esteemed alumnus, became its first Muslim headmaster in 1904, leaving an indelible mark on its legacy. Today, Rajshahi Collegiate School continues its tradition of academic excellence, shaping the minds of future generations.
