A good reasonably priced (around £28 per night) three star hotel for my 3 night stay, close to the river and railway station. My single room had furnishing that was a little tired but more than adequate, good bed linen and all around clean facilities. A single bed, two tables with chairs and a good washroom with refreshing hot shower. For Dhaka the room was reasonably quiet. The air-conditioning worked well and was a real bonus even in Bangladesh's "winter". The staff are universally friendly. I would happily return here.

I had a brilliant stay here for 3 nights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (Hassan in the bar was lovely) and they went out of their way to book trains and a tour for me. Also complimentary tea anf cake. The room was big, well fitted and clean.Worth every penny.

Most city dwellers are exposed to sound created by mills and factories. Besides, indiscriminate use of loud speakers, use of hydraulic horns by the motorists, the mikes used in market places and public meetings create sound and pollute the environment. Excessive
