Bogra govt. girls high school in Bogra Sadar, Bogra

Bogra Govt. Girls’ High School, Bogra was established in the year of 1869 A.D. The rule of East India Company has just been over the subcontinent; in that period, the institution was founded at the south of the Palace of Nawab Altaf Ali with the initiatives of social elites, Missionary, Hindu, Muslim and elites of Brahma society.

With a very moment in 1869, as a memoir of great Queen Victoria, the school was named as ‘Victoria Memorial Girls’ School’. In 1901, Shree Ananto Nath Mitter was the secretary of the institution. The old building of the institution was established in his period. The institution was formed as an English High School in 1932. After one year, in 1933 the school was permitted to take part in Matriculation Examination.

Now, there are 2000 girls are running as students and 53 teachers are engaged for guiding them. The two-storied building consisting 37 classrooms is conducted with two shifts in every class day of the school. Now, the school is running efficiently with an effective leadership of Mrs. Rabeya Khatun, Head Teacher (In charge).

করতোয়া বিধৌত উত্তর বঙ্গের প্রবেশদ্বার খ্যাত শিল্পের শহর বগুড়ার প্রাণকেন্র সাতমাথা থেকে মাত্র ২০০ মিটার পূর্বে অবস্থিত বগুড়া সরকারি বালিকা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় রাজশাহী শিক্ষা বোর্ড তথা সারা বাংলাদেশের সুপরিচিত একটি স্বনাম ধন্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান । .

ইতিহাস:  à¦à¦¤à¦¿à¦¹à§à¦¯à¦¬à¦¾à¦¹à§€ এ প্রতিষ্ঠানটি ১৮৬৯ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে তৎকালীন ব্রিটিশ সরকারের সময়ে মহারাণী ভিক্টোরিয়ার নামানুসারে "ভিক্টোরিয়া মেমোরিয়াল গার্লস হাই স্কুল" নামে প্রতিষ্ঠিত । অজও বগুড়া তথা উত্তরবঙ্গের মানুষের কাছে এটি ভি.এম (V.M) স্কুল নামেই সুপরিচিত। ১৯৬২ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে এটি সরকারিকরণ করা হয় ।১৯৯১ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে এটি ডবল শিফট বিদ্যালয়ে উন্নীত হয় ।

আশার বাণী:  à¦®à¦¾à¦¤à§à¦° 0.৮৮২৫ একর জমির উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত বিদ্যালয়টি প্রতিষ্ঠাকালে মাত্র তিন(৩) জন শিক্ষার্থী নিয়ে যাত্রা শুরু করলেও বর্তমানে দুই সহস্রাধিক শিক্ষার্থীর পদচারণায় মুখরিত । প্রধান শিক্ষিকা, দুইজন সহকারী প্রধান শিক্ষক  à¦›à¦¾à§œà¦¾à¦“ ৫০ জন অভিজ্ঞ শিক্ষকমন্ডলী এবং ১২ জন সহায়ক কর্মচারি রয়েছে এ প্রতিষ্ঠাটিতে। রয়েছে সহস্রাধিক পুস্তক সমৃদ্ধ পাঠাগার-যাতে দৈনিক ও মাসিক পত্রিকা পাঠের সুযোগ । ২৩ টি ডেক্সটপ ও ১৪ টি ল্যাপটপে সুসজ্জিত কম্পিউটার ল্যাব । বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ছাত্রিদের হাতে কলমে শিক্ষার জন্য আছে পদার্থ বিজ্ঞান,রসায়ণ , জীবিজ্ঞান ,কৃষি ও গার্হস্থ্য বিজ্ঞান ল্যাব । রয়েছে আধুনিক যন্ত্রে সুসজ্জিত ব্যামাগার এবং মালর্টিমিডিয়া ক্লাশরুম ।
