The Chhayanaut Sangeet Vidyatan is an institution devoted to Bengali culture, founded in Bangladesh in 1961. As in the case of many similar organizations, it was established during Pakistani rule in Bangladesh to promote and nurture the cultural and musical heritage of Bengal. Every year, Chhayanaut arranges activities in order to celebrate the Pahela Boishakh, the first day of the Bengali new year. Chhayanaut celebrating the new Bangla year 1424 in Ramna Park, Dhaka In 2015 Chhayanaut was conferred with the prestigious Tagore Award for promoting cultural harmony. To establish the people of the country in their culture to become strong in self-reliance; Enriching people with proper education to enable them to develop indigenous characteristics and independent entities; Development of culturally integrated education with the aim of building a complete human being by ensuring integration of culture with education; Conducting the overall activities of Chaynat for the purpose of philanthropy and global humanity through proper expansion and development of cultural pursuits and practices.
