Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School & College

Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College is one of the esteemed institutions in Gazipur District located at Rajendrapur Cantonment area contiguous to Dhaka-Kapasia road surrounded by deep and lovely woods. The institution is under the supervision of the Director of Bangladesh Army Education Corps. The foundation stone was laid on 16 April 1995 by Lt Gen Abu Saleh Mohammad Nasim BBPSC. Asian Development Bank (ADB) financed for the building of infrastructures. In 2001, RCPSC started functioning for the primary, lower-secondary and secondary level education particularly for the children of Army personnel stationed in Rajendrapur Cantonment and is managed by Bangladesh Army. Brig Gen Golam Jakaria was the first Chairman of the  governing body consisting of a host of high ranking army officers who launched higher secondary level curriculum from 2003 (though from the inception, the institution assumed the name “Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College”). In 2009, RCPSC initiated English Version Section in the campus itself in separate premise. RCPSC got multifarious developments overtime. Namely, establishment of well-furnished and rich library in 2010, establishment of students’ canteen “Bhawalika” in 2011, spacious and air-conditioned Conference Room in 2011, Mosque in campus in 2013, Front Desk Office in 2015, Guardian Shed adjacent to the college boundary wall in 2015, Children Park in 2016. Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College has an education friendly environment. Multimedia system has been introduced in the class rooms in 2015 and the process is still ongoing in the school section. Now college lectures are delivered totally through multi-media system. Multi-media system has opened a new dimension in the field of education in Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College. All class rooms and whole campus of RCPSC have already been brought under CCTV to strengthen security and ensure intensive monitoring. RCPSC makes very glorious result every year in board examination. Now Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College is one of the largest institutions in Gazipur District having students of 3000. At present 99 teachers are serving both in school and college section.

Five buses run regularly for the students for three different routes-

1. Rajendraur - Kapasia route (Two buses).

2. Rajendraur - Joydevpur Chowrasta - Shivbari Morh route

3. Rajendraur - Maowna route (Two buses).
