Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh (BSMRMU), established by Act No. 47 of the Parliament on 26 October 2013, is the first maritime university of Bangladesh. The President of Bangladesh serves as the Chancellor of the University.
