The Private University Act passed by the Parliament in 1992 and its amendment passed in 1998 empowered the Government and the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the establishment of Private Universities throughout the country. We established the Bangladesh Islami University (BIU), a private university with the proper approval from the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Since its inception in 2006, the university has been working excellently and presently, it has become a modern, dynamic and innovative institution providing standard and high quality knowledge in every branch of education. The present campus of the University is located at Plot# B-51, Avenue# 3, Green Model Town, Manda, Mugda, Dhaka-1214.

Mohammad Mizanur Rahman BIU conduct their classes regularly and environment of examinations hall is very serious. There is not scope to get chance of any unfair means at the examinations. I think, it's very important matter for a private university. I have completed MBA from this (BIU) university. Now BIU performing all activities (academic and administrative) at their Permanent Campus (Green Model Town, Manda, Mugda, Dhaka-1214). Environment of Permanent Campus is mind blowing.
Mamun Malik My University could not have provided me with a better experience of university life. The staff and students are all friendly, the course is brilliant, the social life is great and the campus provides a safe and friendly environment to live in! Excellent Environment
