Agrani Bank Limited - Agrani Bank Limited Haripur Gas Field in Jaintapur, Sylhet

Following the President's Order No. 26 of 1972, the Bangladesh Banks (Nationalization) Order, which rebranded the old Habib Bank Limited and Commerce Bank Limited as Agrani Bank, the bank became a nationalized commercial institution. The Bank was established on May 17, 2007, under the Companies Act of 1994, as a State-owned Commercial Bank. Through a vendor's agreement signed on November 15, 2007, with retroactive effect from July 1, 2007, between the Board of Directors of ABL and the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Agrani Bank Limited acquired the operations, assets, liabilities, rights, and obligations of Agrani Bank on a going-concern basis.

The Board of Directors, which currently consists of the Chairman, 5 Directors, and MD & CEO, oversees Agrani Bank Limited. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank are in charge; he or she is supported by Deputy Managing Directors and General Managers. At its headquarters, the bank has 11 Circle offices, 53 zone offices, and 37 Divisions. ABL is a technological pioneer who has been able to establish 969 branches, including 36 corporate and 43 widely dispersed AD (authorized dealer) locations. All of the branches offer real-time internet banking. Additionally, we have five subsidiaries, including merchant banks, SMEs finance companies, and remittance houses in Singapore, Malaysia, and Canada.
